Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hello TOEIC, operated by Han Thien Duc ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our service at www.hellotoeic.com, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Hello TOEIC is an AI-powered TOEIC preparation platform that provides listening exercises, reading comprehension, grammar lessons, vocabulary practice, mock tests, and AI-coached explanations in Vietnamese. The service is offered in free and paid tiers.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • One account per person — sharing accounts is not permitted.

3. Free and Paid Plans

Free Plan

  • 10 exercises per day
  • 1 mock test per month
  • 5 AI coach messages per day
  • Basic progress tracking

Pro Plan

  • Unlimited exercises, mock tests, and AI coach
  • Advanced vocabulary and detailed analytics
  • Available as monthly ($7.99), annual ($59.99), or lifetime ($149.99) billing

4. Payment and Billing

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
  • Monthly and annual subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Lifetime purchases are one-time payments with no recurring charges.
  • You can manage your subscription from Profile → Subscription or via the Stripe Customer Portal.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time.
  • After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.
  • Your account reverts to the Free plan after the paid period ends.
  • 7-day money-back guarantee: if you are unsatisfied within 7 days of your first purchase, contact us for a full refund.
  • Refunds after the 7-day period are not available.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

  • TOEIC® is a registered trademark of Educational Testing Service (ETS). Hello TOEIC is not endorsed by or affiliated with ETS.
  • Practice content is created for educational purposes. ETS-sourced materials are used under fair use for study preparation.
  • AI-generated explanations are provided for learning purposes and may contain errors. Always verify with official TOEIC materials.
  • You may not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit content from Hello TOEIC.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
  • Scrape, copy, or bulk-download content from the platform
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
  • Use automated tools to interact with the service (bots, scripts)
  • Abuse the AI coach feature (spam, harmful content)

8. AI Coach Service

  • AI Coach uses OpenAI's gpt-4o-mini to generate Vietnamese explanations of exercise answers on demand.
  • Free accounts get 3 AI explanations per day (resets at midnight, Asia/Ho Chi Minh time). Pro subscribers have unlimited access subject to fair use.
  • AI-generated content is provided as a study aid, may contain errors or hallucinations, and should be cross-checked against the static Vietnamese explanation already shown for every exercise.
  • We may revoke AI Coach access for abuse, including scripted requests, prompt-injection attempts, content that violates OpenAI's usage policies, or any attempt to extract data from other users.
  • What is sent to OpenAI and how it is processed is described in section 9 of our Privacy Policy.

9. Availability and Modifications

  • We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows may occur.
  • We may modify features, content, or pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until renewal.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

Hello TOEIC is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Privacy

Your use of Hello TOEIC is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
